We are certainly living in some trying times. We are forever grateful to our brave healthcare professionals, truck drivers, grocery store employees, delivery workers, first responders and so many more for their selfless and heroic actions to help care and protect us everyday. It is beautiful to see everyone flying their American Flags in solidarity too, especially during the pandemic. It reminds us that we’re all in this fight against COVID 19 together; this act of patriotism and pride reminds us that we all stand united in our fight. I heard someone recently explain that she displays her flag because while she can’t visit with her neighbor due to the quarantine, she sees the flag outside the house as a symbol - a form of communication. One of our suppliers, Captain Blankenship, shared the following All Natural recipe below, give it a try!
All Natural Hand Sanitizer
Yield: 8oz
2/3 cup 190 proof alcohol (grain alcohol- Everclear is a familiar brand you can find at the liquor store) or isopropyl alcohol*
1/3 cup aloe vera gel
15 drops peppermint essential oil
15 drops cinnamon essential oil
15 drops thyme essential oil
30 drops lemon essential oil
5 drops clove essential oil
Note: It is not necessary to use this exact blend of essential oils. You could just use lemon and cinnamon or peppermint and thyme or a mix. Tea tree essential oil and eucalyptus are also good in this blend. Mix the ingredients together in a measuring cup or small bowl. Pour them into spray bottles with fine mist sprayer. Spray it on your hands and surfaces to sanitize.
